Oxygen Sensor
Hey-
I was recently told that in order to pass emissions test, I would need to replace my oxygen sensor. My question is this- some cars have up to four oxygen sensors. My check engine light isn't even on! So, my question is- how many oxygen sensors does the 190E have? (1991)
My second question is- if and when I do replace the oxygen sensor (or sensors) is there any downside to using the universal sensor instead of the OEM sensor? I've heard tons and tons say that there isn't a downside, but I remain skeptical. Has anyone actually had a negative experience using a universal one?

What you need to look for is a Ford Mustang 5.0 O2 sensor from 1991. They are the exact same sensor with diferent wires. You cut the wires and solder on the ones from you old one so you have the right plugs. There is only one O2 on the 190E and it is just about under the shifter. Goes to a plug under the passenger side floor mat.
