Belt Tensioner Adjustment Rod
With my pro-active approach of replacing the serpentine belt, I had strip the Belt Tensioner Adjustment Rod. 
Since then the air conditioner compressor will not turn on. I think it is because I am not able to get a tight belt. So I need to replace the Belt Tensioner Adjustment Rod which looks to be a bear.
When I get the old one off and the new one on, how do I know when the belt is tight enough? I have looked for an adjuster gauge on the car but nothing was found.
Does anyone have a pointer or two before I take this task on?

They way I did mine was just by feel when I had to change the water pump out. I guess the belt cant be solid tight and cant be too loose to slip. I did mine my way and doesn't slip, squeak or anything like that. I wonder if there is a very tiny torque spec for that tensioner. It might not seem tight enough when properly set but it Is tight enough. ;-)

Belt tension
The belt tension is set when you slide the tensioner and pully together to install the bely. It is spring loaded and when you put the belt in place the pulley will load the belt with its spring tension. just tighten up the adjustment bolts for the pully tensioner
