Brabus mini Rocket?

worldcarfans.com:

Debut for wolf in sheep's clothing

Brabus is getting ready to celebrate its 30th birthday at the 62nd Frankfurt Motorshow this coming September. Brabus is known the world over for their Mercedes-Benz tuning programs, being the world's largest independent automobile tuner and is even considered a car manufacturer by the German Federal Motor Vehicle Registration Agency. Accomplishments include: the 1984 Mercedes 190 with V8 engine, the 1996 Brabus E V12 and the current fastest street legal sedan, the Brabus Rocket.

Brabus is readying a new wolf in sheep's clothing, a sedan with an immensely powerful engine with almost indiscernible exterior modifications. What the car will be based on is not clear, but judging from the description and the comparison of some images, the covered-up Brabus seems to fit the Mercedes C63 AMG quite nicely. Compare the attached photos and let us know what you think.

But there is no knowing until we can report back to you live from the Frankfurt show floor next month!

what would you expect/hope to be under the hood?

greetings,
felix

That's gotta be a 4-door vehicle (2 door handles on one side).
It doesn't look like a CLS for sure. So which one of the three sedans has a star on the grille ?
Not E, not S, gotta be C.
Which C ?
Gotta be the C63.

It might just be a W204 C with a brabus engine! I recall they launched their version of a tuned C class on the w203 before the AMG version came out, MB-AMG wasn't too happy about it... looks like they’re headed on the same road for this new model!! I’m guessing it will be a 400HP Brabus engine

I don't think anyone would be too surprised to see the Brabus W204 unveiled soon. Anyone remember this thread?

its a C63 W204..

you can tell by the headlights..

probably tuned to about 525hp and 480bls of torque..

proving that the C63 450hp is just a marketing number and will be easy to mod to 500+ with ECU, intake.

Add Headers, exhaust and TB and you are looking at around 525 to 550hp to the crank.

From my close sources, I can slip out this breaking news which is that we have to expect a (W204) with a modified V-12.

Oh, so Brabus is grafting the front clip from an S onto the W204 for this mod?

Don't forget they have a history of shoehorning V-12s into small spaces.

http://www.supercarnews.com/cars/bra...12/Brabus_EV12

The engine compartment of a C63 is already stretched to accommodate the AMG 6.3, which is not a small engine.

I wouldn't laugh too hard just yet.

Plus, the V12 isn't THAT much bigger than the V8 considering the V8 is already a ~6.3 liters.

Maybe not that much bigger in terms of DISPLACEMENT ... but I'd guess the bi-turbo V-12 is significantly bigger in terms of L x W x H - that's just a guess though, I don't know the actual specs in terms of size.

In terms of displacement, it's smaller. The 600 engine is 5.5 liter. The 65 is 6.0 liter. The 63 is 6.2 liter.

Of course, the Brabus V-12 is 6.3 liter, so if they use their version it will be slightly larger in displacement than the 63 engine.

My guess is that they will do it. But as with their earlier Rockets, it will be more of a show car. Yes, they'll sell it -- but at an incredibly high price that no sane person, and even very few car nuts, would pay. It's more of a PR stunt. Set a new record to sell more body kits.

Yea RIGHT! What is this your "14th" actual post on this site EVER? And since you're SO well known around here for having close ties in those prior 2,499 other threads we've seen you post in I guess we should give some credit to this claim. Can anyone say "TROLL"?

Guys cool down !!!

Initial do not for get that Brabus is not only a tuning company, but they are also registered as manufacturers, which means that they can have their own chassis numbers.

For example when they build an EV12 or a Brabus Rocket the literally strip of the complete car, re-work the complete chassis, complete wiring, programming, an I mean complete from nose to tail.

So, if they did it on both the E-Class & on the CLS, I wouldn’t be surprised to see it on the C-Class (W204).

Trust me it's true, just wait and see !!

I hope to get the official press release just before the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Exactly, I don't think BRABUS will **** us up with ECU modded C63 on their 30th birthday. The thing is that I somehow can't see a V12 in there, on the other hand the Brabus V8 have to less output! So they might just come up
with some completely new engine!! But as for now we can only wait and shouldn't call anyone a TROLL until we have seen this baby.

V12 might fit, however Brabus is known for big motors.

Did they perhaps puched out 6.2L M156 to around 6.7L? There is enough room to bore and stroke it.

Hmmm, that would be logical..................

Holy....

That is...crazy! The interior looks amazing though! Too bad it'll cost another C350 to get that in your C63 though!

I must give it to them. Sticking a V12 into W204 is definitely a task worthy of a praise.

2 things Brabus lovingly fixed the anemic rear fender problem!!

But also slapped a 5 speed auto in place of the new 7 speed proving once again that new 7 speed can't handle huge power...

V12-Biturbo
It has 811 something torque, but only reaches 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds the much, much heavier S600 w/renntech could do it in 3.3??

Lastly what in the hell was Merc thinking adding these big giant truck/SUV side rear view mirrors to this otherwise beautifull machine??
