Brabus mini Rocket?
Debut for wolf in sheep's clothing
Brabus is getting ready to celebrate its 30th birthday at the 62nd Frankfurt Motorshow this coming September. Brabus is known the world over for their Mercedes-Benz tuning programs, being the world's largest independent automobile tuner and is even considered a car manufacturer by the German Federal Motor Vehicle Registration Agency. Accomplishments include: the 1984 Mercedes 190 with V8 engine, the 1996 Brabus E V12 and the current fastest street legal sedan, the Brabus Rocket.
Brabus is readying a new wolf in sheep's clothing, a sedan with an immensely powerful engine with almost indiscernible exterior modifications. What the car will be based on is not clear, but judging from the description and the comparison of some images, the covered-up Brabus seems to fit the Mercedes C63 AMG quite nicely. Compare the attached photos and let us know what you think.
But there is no knowing until we can report back to you live from the Frankfurt show floor next month!

what would you expect/hope to be under the hood?
greetings,
felix
It doesn't look like a CLS for sure. So which one of the three sedans has a star on the grille ?
Not E, not S, gotta be C.
Which C ?
Gotta be the C63.

you can tell by the headlights..
probably tuned to about 525hp and 480bls of torque..
proving that the C63 450hp is just a marketing number and will be easy to mod to 500+ with ECU, intake.
Add Headers, exhaust and TB and you are looking at around 525 to 550hp to the crank.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

The engine compartment of a C63 is already stretched to accommodate the AMG 6.3, which is not a small engine.
I wouldn't laugh too hard just yet.
Of course, the Brabus V-12 is 6.3 liter, so if they use their version it will be slightly larger in displacement than the 63 engine.
My guess is that they will do it. But as with their earlier Rockets, it will be more of a show car. Yes, they'll sell it -- but at an incredibly high price that no sane person, and even very few car nuts, would pay. It's more of a PR stunt. Set a new record to sell more body kits.
Yea RIGHT! What is this your "14th" actual post on this site EVER? And since you're SO well known around here for having close ties in those prior 2,499 other threads we've seen you post in I guess we should give some credit to this claim. Can anyone say "TROLL"?
Initial do not for get that Brabus is not only a tuning company, but they are also registered as manufacturers, which means that they can have their own chassis numbers.
For example when they build an EV12 or a Brabus Rocket the literally strip of the complete car, re-work the complete chassis, complete wiring, programming, an I mean complete from nose to tail.
So, if they did it on both the E-Class & on the CLS, I wouldn’t be surprised to see it on the C-Class (W204).
Trust me it's true, just wait and see !!
I hope to get the official press release just before the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Exactly, I don't think BRABUS will **** us up with ECU modded C63 on their 30th birthday. The thing is that I somehow can't see a V12 in there, on the other hand the Brabus V8 have to less output! So they might just come up
with some completely new engine!! But as for now we can only wait and shouldn't call anyone a TROLL until we have seen this baby.
Did they perhaps puched out 6.2L M156 to around 6.7L? There is enough room to bore and stroke it.
Hmmm, that would be logical..................
"07.09.2007 - World Debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show IAA 2007
At the Frankfurt International Auto Show IAA 2007 BRABUS presents a number of world debuts. The most spectacular innovation is the BRABUS BULLIT with BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo engine and 730 PS (720 hp) / 537 kW. The 350-km/h (217 mph) supercar is built in small-series production based on the new Mercedes C-Class. Also new is the exclusive BRABUS WIDESTAR version of the Mercedes GL-Class and the BRABUS ULTIMATE 112, an exclusive high-performance version based on the new smart fortwo cabrio."
All I can say is, wow...
Thats the baby I am waiting for....

100/litre means about 680 hp...
Wonder if anyone will do it...?

But also slapped a 5 speed auto in place of the new 7 speed proving once again that new 7 speed can't handle huge power...
the much, much heavier S600 w/renntech could do it in 3.3??Lastly what in the hell was Merc thinking adding these big giant truck/SUV side rear view mirrors to this otherwise beautifull machine??
