Wow you have one early! I was eating lunch at the cafe today on W.Boulevard (Vancouver) and saw a woman driving a teal colour, or light green, (can't remember) W221!! I couldn't get a glimpse of the badge so I don't know whether it's called an S500 or S550. My friend went to the dealer in Richmond and says they had an S550 in the showroom so i'm pretty sure it was an S550..

Mine new S550 Launch Edition. I didn't like much the Ext. Color, but I do like the Interior Color Combo~ (too bad, only this have the Night View and Rear Camera...)

Did you ever consider not getting the LE and customizing your own and possibly having to wait? Just curious? The user manual is 705 pages, how intuitive do you find using all the controls, ie..selecting massage, changing the station, rolling up the blinds while driving?

 

I dont like to wait.. specially when is a new car. I always take the first released car. Is nice to have the LE Interior, with White Ext / W AMG sport. plus P3 package. which not going to happen now. As far the using all the control, is pretty much like BMW 745. U can program the Rolling up the Blinds to Favorite Button which locate at left of the phone section (very easy to change the program key) Navigation Display is much clear then any other MB, it should all the road names now, at least better then Old S class and mine 2006 ML500 display. Now, I just have to remember more of the Voice Command. One thing they inproved is that U can use voice command and giving the address for destination (which mine 2002 745 cant do that, not sure about later models)

Mercedes knows they know how to charge plenty for these Designo packages. I really think they'd sell a lot more of them if they cut the prices in half and offered them on more models. The CLS Designo package is equally gorgeous. These launch edition cars though are just stunning!

If they're not, then MB screwed up again. If you're gonna pay upwards of $80k then xenons better be standard. Looks like the Acura TL beats the S550 on that.
