I am not sure what the hounding of Josh is about.

I only know of him as Juicee, and he has been a credited member here on MBWorld and has helped me on a few things here and there on some questions. He really seems like a good guy, and in a bad circumstance.

I won't get into the "well you should not have got the car" or "affordability" bit, etc, it won't help your issue. Josh, I must say you have really humbled yourself even stating your issue. Gutsy and righteous all i can say.

If I can help, I will post on your other thread or PM you. I just had to drop almost 1K yesterday getting new tires on my CLS myself (rears). Situations happen.

here is a tip, buy used rubber, 150 a pair run em a few months and do it again. New tires are seriously a waste of cash :-)

Caught this thread on another forum... Sorry about your luck man. I've had experiences like this when things weren't being repossessed. I've often found most dirtbags like the ones you're dealing with only understand bad manners.... really bad manners (after other avenues are explored and exhausted)

Thanks, yeah the repo, auction game is one where the consumer, debtor is trampled. I hope it works out, I truly am amazed at the support from my comrades here. I definately have learned alot, and hopefully my bad experience helps someone avoid the repo road

I was curious, what's a Crafty? I get it's to do with Film and Television... what's it involve?

 

In the motion picture industry , film prodution is handled by Crafts. The Crafts are composed of all aspects of physical production , principle photography.


A Craft Service person is the only crew member that can service all crafts. So if camera needs the cases moved, or a sound needs a cable rolled, or the grips need a flag placed, or the set needs a sweep, or a light needs a gel, or a set needs redress, the crafts service person is available as an extra laborer, the contract covers all industry crafts. In the last 20 years the "Crafty" has become more of a caterer, handling snacks , drinks and specialty requests of the cast and crew. The term "crafty" is not one that is well received. Crafts service person , people who do it usually use it as a jump off point to move into the sound and or camera , electric or grip departments, producing, directing etc.

It can be really fun but it also keeps you away from your family , filming usually goes 16-20 hrs day and the Craft service peple are first in last out..

 

That sounds like a pretty bad-*** contract to get. Again, sorry about the bull**** you're dealing with.

 

Even if the claimed shows are not listed, I went down the list and there are plenty of other good productions listed. This being the case, I see no reason to lie about the others.

I have stayed out of it for now but there is no reason to make a federal investigation out of this. A member of the board got themselves into trouble and needs help. those that think it is a worthy cause can help, those that don't can move on.

I am lucky to have a lot in life and make a lot but I can't tell you how fast all that can change on you. I have seen a friend go from a long standing 7 figure income and $25M home to living in a friends guest room practically over night because of a couple of miscalculated decisions and a downturn. Every day I wake up and am grateful for what I have and don't take it for granted because under the right circumstances, I could be "that guy".

I have and usually do not work on that type of production , although I am blocks away from Hells Kitchen.

You guys as far as the shows I will update my work on that website, its silly really, I have no idea why I am being harrassed about which shows I have worked on , I work on Criminal Minds , I worked on Jumper, I worked on DH and Chuck , There are numerous shows I have been involved with that are not on my IMDB page.

The support far outweighs the grief this one poster has given me over my statements.
