This is how W212 E63 Should Look Like…
I realize there were already a lot of discussions comparing the new W212 E63 to the W211 E63. Some of you guys love the new design, some will need to get used to it and some hate it because the rear clip that “looks like a Hyundai”.
I sort of agree with those who criticized the new model. In my opinion it lacks the typical and aggressive AMG look, (In comparison to the regular E Class) the interior materials are worse and probably taken from the C-Class parts bin and what’s most important the performance increase is just not there. No Alcantara interior, no adjustable suspension (the lift option) and in general I think our German Engineers didn’t try hard enough to make the new model stand out.
Yes, I know there is a lot of S-Class engineering put in to the new model and those are certainly appreciated.
Three weeks ago I went to my friendly MB dealer to test drive the new E63. The option of Mercedes Benz picking up 6 of my last payments and a good couple of grand off MRSP made me ready to take the deal. But, I didn’t and decided to still hang to my car. At least until MB “tunes” it a little.
Bottom line the car did not impress me and I saw no justification for a change. I did however see something online which would make me jump into with a split second. Can someone tell me where can we get an E63 that looks like this one???

With the TT just announced, things will change performance-wise. Body style may get a face-lift early, who knows. Let's hope. But material-wise, MB is cutting costs for sure. They even made a public announcement about sharing parts bins with the C (something MB never really did much of in the past.) We'll be seeing more of it on all their cars.
I'd hold off now for sure, because you'd be stuck with an 'oddball' W212 E63. A new body style but still with the 'old' n/a 63 motor.
