Got to Love it. Thanks to this forum.

I got my 03 CL55 eight months ago 71k miles. Got it fully checked out at MB and got a Chrysler warranty after reading this forum before my purchase. Thought it sounded like a good idea. Turns out it is life saver.

1. Truck closer went out
2. All new trans and motor mounts
3. All new thrust arm bushings
4. Rear susp. issue with accum. and motor
5. New supercharger clutch
6. Shifter safety lock broke and replace whole shifter assy.
7. Tran leak on trans board of some sort fix leak and board
8. Value cover leak
9. Washer fluid leak
10. New steering wheel because paddle shifter stopped working.
11. New steering column
Total Cost over 12k. WOW!

Some of the repairs are done. Others I am waiting on and should get the car back next week. Can't wait.

Thanks everyone on this forum for all the great information.

Well its been over a week and a half and the dealership calls today with an update.

Dealer: "We have installed all the new parts we ordered" (over 7K worth)
Me: "Great!"
Dealer: "But the paddle shifters still are not working"
Me: "??????"
Dealer: "Something about another module they need to replace"
Me: "Go for it"

I am so happy for this warranty.

Yup.....similar experience here on my CL55, warranty bought in December and $5K in repairs to date with 33 months to go on the warranty!!

Too bad the party's over for the community as Chrysler has stopped selling this warranty (Even with a check out) on all ABC equipped cars older than 06.......likely since they are losing their A$$ on guys like you and me on these warranties.

Lucky we got what we did when we did

If that is true I am sorry to hear they are stopping it. What a great run it was. That will mean either people will not buy them or less of them will be repaired correctly. Disappointing but not surprising.

Yup....if you got the MaxCare you DO have ABC coverage. It seems that this all started sometime after the first of the year.

Good for you (US)

I feel bad for Chrysler when I read these threads, but at least you are covered. It's also sad to see people picking up 20k 220's and 215s with no warranty. They end up in a lot of trouble.

Got my car back today and everything works. First time ever that has happen and they gave me back my old steering wheel. I have the TAN interior so the steering wheel is a brown color. Anyone interrested in it? CL55 Steering wheel. $275. Sold has is. The dealer said the paddle shifter are not working but once they got the new steering wheel in they still did not work until they replace some other module. Show signs of wear but on major marks. PM me if your interrested. I put this on the part of sale section has well.

I'm just wondering when chrysler is gonna wise up and start getting more particular with sending out claims adjusters and start denying repairs.

Why would they deny repairs?

because if you actually read the contract, there are many ways to get out of paying for stuff.

Most 3rd party warranty companies will fight tooth and nail to get stuff fixed, and I'm not talking $12k in repairs either.

Abuse, lack of maintenance, road damage, etc etc.

It is a big game and when the warranty company losses to often they take their ball the play somewhere else where they can win or change the rules. Bottom line is if they are not making money they will not continue and if they win too often we will not buy the warranty. Then you have the dealer that is licking their chops to get what they can when they can. Looks like I my case I have claimed victory in the short term but I am sure there will be times in the near future that I will be on the other end holding the short straw. Just the way things like this work so I am celabrating now while I can.
