wheel spacers for the front

So I bought a set of 10mm wheel spacers a while back for my car because I was told that the offset of my wheels required them. However they fit; barely. In any case I decided to put them on and the backs were fine (pretty nice wide stance now) but the fronts WILL not go on.

Does anyone have a brand of wheel spacers that will work for the front? Mine were generic ebay ones.

Here's a picture to show what I mean.

BTW, I spent a good amount of time poking out all the brake dust stuck in the drilled rotors that was caked in from the track day. Used up a lot of my brake pad that day but well worth it!

FYI if any local people want to pick up a set of 10mm wheel spacers (that will fit the rears only) let me know!

I think the fronts are supposed to be special due to the long hub length. Look on H&R's website.

Those look like rear spacers. H&R makes different design spacers for front and rear.

You will get vibrations using a 10mm front wheel spacer on a C55, no way around it.

If the wheels fit barely then either use no spacer or use a generic 3mm spacer. With the 3mm spacer you do not need them to be hub-centric because the wheel will still be riding on the thick part of the hub with the 3mm.

What do you mean? The lip around the center hole? That's the hub centric part that makes sure the wheel is centered to the spacer and take the weight off the lugs. Both of my H&R spacers have it.

Are your wheels 66.56 centerbore? If they are and you're not getting vibrations, then you're lucky. Basically, with a 10mm spacer, due to the hub length on the front hubs and how they are designed, a 10mm spacer mating the stock hubs to a wheel that has a 66.56 centerbore isn't truly hubcentric, it's lugcentric.

Exactly, a 3mm will still leave plenty of the thick part of the wheel hub for the centerbore of the wheel to sit on.

I thought that's what the purpose of well made spacers do - they have this extra hub lip on them to give you your original hub size on your wheel. If you buy cheap spacers that are flat, then what you said is true.

No i have these on the right made by H&R

Left - 10mm spacer which replicates lip on hub. Right - H&R 5mm hubcentric spacer which doesn't replicate lip

Does the one on the left fit over the front hubs and sit flush? If so then that's what is needed. Looks like they offset the hub lip to clear the fat part of the hub. This will only work if the wheels will fit over the diagonal lip as well.

H&R makes a 10mm front axle specific for the C class . I have been running them with my stock wheels and no vibration what so ever. Make sure you order the bolts to match. The stock number should be 20556659. Should look like this

yup those are the ones I have...no vibrations what so ever....and from what I understand I believe the bolt size are the same as stock, which is weird.

My wheels fit with the bolts(same length as stock) and spacers.....but the C55 wheels will not fit with the same bolts and spacer....I guess its due to the offset? but is it really that different?

I believe my wheels are a +32 in the front

H&R only makes front axle spacer up to 15mm. If you want over 15mm for front axle you will have to search around. I am using these with good results: https://www.ebay.com/itm/251346014643

Motorsport Hardware would be my other recommendation, or having a machine shop bore out inner diameter of 20mm H&R’s...

And these fit over the front hubs for the w203?, I need specific spacers for the front of my 07 c230, I’m very sure after lots of research, mine will have the same problem with the lip I believe, I want to buy the RIGHT spacers on my first round go, if these are the one’s & that hub that’s provided will be safe for my wheels to be on I will order them asap!
