I'm hoping to have the project wrapped up by Friday of next week. next week will be a crazy week for me. I also have an SL63 coming in for headers as well. Since we don't have a set of headers designed for the SL63 I've going to have to make then and jig them.

Fingers crossed for Friday next week

I got a bit confused, so the mid pipe will connect with the header then to the factory resonator, right? it will get rid of all the cats?

I believe so.

Looking at the pictures of MBH's LT's, they will not bolt up to the stock cats because I believe the stock cats (both of them) are connected to the OEM manifold. Once you remove the OEM exhaust manifolds to install the LT's, you are removing the cats. The LT's basically take up the space of where the cats would be.

So, once the MBH LT's are installed, I guess this mid-pipe will bolt up to the open end of the LT's collectors and then to the factory resonator/x-pipe.

I would also like to know if this mid-pipe will bolt up to the stock exhaust manifold and if so, would the secondary cats need to be removed? Could the primary cats be left alone so no O2 code issues and this mid-pipe be installed?

What is the sound difference once installed with factory exhaust manifolds and factory catback? (If this piece can be installed with factory manifolds).

It will be like MHP LT headers all the way bolt on to resonator, but u do can install secondary cats in the mids

Any info on whether this mod can bolt up to the stock exhaust manifolds and primary cat (the one with the O2 sensor) if I wanted to remove the secondary cat?

Just remove the 2ndary cats and straight/xpipe it? It can be a 200$ job.

That's what I want to do. Thank you for the suggestion. I'll probably straight pipe it.

I think I may be a bit confused about this MBH bolt-on mod. Is it just straight pipes that connect to the end of the header collector and then to the factory x-pipe/resonator?

from my understanding, yes.

it'll be an alternative to the 2 headers currently on the market (cargraphic and MHP) that i know of that offer a full bolt on solution all the way to the stock resonators and deletes both sets of cats.

The MBH end of project should be finished today. I'm very excited to see the results. When I left the shop yesterday, we were waiting on a few bends. Whats nice about the design is once you get the mid section. it will come standard as a bolt on design, with total cat deletes. However if the customer wants to add in an x-pipe, secondary cats, strait through additional resonators, we will have direct bolt in replacements available.

@ MBH...did you guys dyno? If so, what are the results? Also, any sign of the C63 now running lean with your headers? Just making sure. btw -- they look great and the car sounds incredible!

IMO it only sounds as good as an Android phone will let. I try to meet deadlines so it only means I have to make due with my cell phone. Its the best I can do at that time. i'm really impressed with my fab team, they knocked this out in under 1 week. that includes building the headers, then building the mids and jigging the sections up.

I'm sure when its on the dyno tomorrow We will shoot some more video. Im expecting the numbers to be in the 450whp range on our dyno dynamics dyno. I bet if we went catless right off the bat, we would see slightly higher than 450whp. Thats my guess right now. I'll know more once its on the dyno tomorrow.

As for pricing, I haven't even thought about that yet. I will be in a production meeting tomorrow and I'm sure we will hash out a reasonable number. While undertaking the the rest of the madness that goes on in our Friday meetings.
