Sprint Booster
Anyone with a current update on the Sprint Booster and a W212 E350? I know it is throttle response only, but I added this to my '08 M5 and it felt as if I gained 50 hp. The E350 could use a little help with the lag. Sure you could just press your peddle further faster, but the Sprint Booster makes the power come on much quicker and is well worth the cost...from my M5 experience anyways.

I can't answer on the E350 but I have been running one on my Infiniti G35 coupe auto for 3 years and had the same results that you felt in your M5. I disagree with your statement that you could push the pedal further faster. It is my understanding that Sprint Booster works by amplifying the signal from the pedal sensor to the ECU so that when you push the pedal a quarter way the ECU recieves the signal quarter pedal immediately and responds accordingly. It's nice to hear from another user who feels the same way I do. Even when you state as you did that it works, i use one...you still receive replys that compare it to the turbonator. Doubters often refer to a test and white paper prepared by a Mercedes owner who supposedly did an extensive test and concluded that it didn't work as advertised. He was using an older Benz and if you check his credentials he has a company who produces a similar product. Objective...I don't think so! I think it should work on the E350 just fine.

I think you just answered your own question....skeptical. As I posted above I have one on an Infiniti G35 Coupe auto. The Sprint Booster does not add any horsepower and only increases your acceleration by decreasing shift lag. It does a very good job on the G35 which has a 5 speed auto and has significant lag during hard acceleration. It is most noticeable when you choose to shift your auto in manual mode. I will not be putting one on my E350 because sport mode gives me the extra acceleration when needed and although I have paddle shifters I won't be using them that often. The 7 speed MB trans shifts so smoothly I don't want to alter it.

I might be the guinea for the E350. You can try for 30 days and return if you don't like it. The skepticism would be expected, but this simple little mod changes the whole attitude of the car...in a good way.

PS BTW one challenge is the Sprint Boost is about $300 and you might find an ECU tune for 400-500.

I would be willing to bet dollars to donuts you will feel the same improvement with the Sprint Booster, no risk of voiding warranty and I can sale it when I'm done.

+1000....Wait until you try the sprintbooster together with a tune. You are hardly being a guinea pig, most MB drivers have one here on the board. In fact, there are a few available in the classifieds.

Dyno- Is that an endorsement? Curious on your thoughts, as I would be game if it actually performed as discussed. Thanks.

No extra HP. This is off their site.
" Sprint Booster modifies the signal between the accelerator pedal module and the electronic throttle body. This modified signal forces the throttle body to open 'more' than the stock signal at a given pedal position. In effect, the idle-to-full-throttle pedal travel is reduced. This makes your car 'feel' more powerful because a given pedal input produces greater throttle opening. This is especially evident in the low to mid rpm range where most cars spend their time on the street."

I was one of the orginal MB owners that tried the sprint booster serveral years back on my E55.. I will tell you this... It is the best bang for your buck in terms of mods... The drive by wire response on the benz's are terrible. The milli-second lag just stinks... I bought the S/B and had NO regrets... it was great... No warrenty issues because if anything goes wrong, just uninstall it and take to dealership... Its a 10 minute install....

You would not believe how happy the responses about SprintBooster make me. I attempted to share with people on the G35 forums (I have one on a G35 coupe) just how well these things work and was accussed of being a company rep, of being a general dumba** and ridiculed for just trying to share the experience of actually having one installed. The doubting Thomases were always people who had never tried one and were unwilling to even do the 30 day trial. If you guy's keep this up I may try one on my E350 coupe.

OK gang - I just ordered mine. I will post results after the install.
I got it at https://www.throttleboost.com/p-313-...atic-2010.aspx
Through some detective work I found a discount...
Enter coupon code : "6speedgroupbuy" and get it for a discounted price of 255.00 and it includes free shipping. Not bad...
Pretty efficiant company...I already have a tracking number.
