ML ordering guide
Excuse me if this has already been posted, but here's the official Dealer Order Guide just released last week: http://thebenzman.files.wordpress.co...de-ml-2012.pdf. Many option prices are there, but not base price.
Of note, both the ML550 & ML63 a listed as Q1 2012 availability.

So no xenons at all?
Near 60k car and no xenons. I never understood why mb does this. Hopefully just the special headlights with LEDs won't be available till then. Since we're waiting for this car to come out to replace our recently turned in q7

The 2012 is not bad looking....
I was just about to head over to the MB dealers tomorrow and look at the 2011 Oil Burner: The have some financing incentives, $569 lease and 1.9% purchase.
Do they ever go below MSRP on the 2011 MLs...?

Saw 2012 in person
Just came home from the dealership and a private viewing of the 2012 ML. It was very impressive overall. The 4.5 COMAND is really nice, especially on Sat Radio, you can see all tunes playing on all channels then select. You can also look at pictures and much more via the USB. 3D was cool. System is fast and now has 10 gb HD instead of the 6gb. They also switched the positioning of the cruise and the left turnsignal levers. That may take a minute to get used to. The rear seats now recline, and the headrests are a real improvement. Looks better in person than in pictures. Gas cap is long and opens in an innovative way. In general, you get the feeling that MB listened to customer needs with the new ML. Probably will replace the wife's 2009 with the 2012. Forgot to take a picture, though...

Orange County CA. BTW, another neat feature was the i-tunes like cover art on audio files and the many ways to search music files...

Ive always said that the new M class isnt very photogenic, looks better in person than pictures. Its like the split bumper 70-73 Camaro to me, looks great in pictures but in person it doesnt look as good compared to the solid bumper.

I got the new 2012 a6 with this too, but you have to load up music into the hardrive to see the album art. With iPods who's has the time to do this? Hopefully it uploads through the iPod but doubt it.

Amaygc, the C looked great too. The entire 2012 lineup should be nice. The sales staff seemed excited that they have a good line to offer.

Any new/more info on the 550 and 63? What engine(s) performance numbers are expected?

ML550
The 550 will have a 4.6 L twin-turbo direct injection V8 w/ 402 hp @ 5,000-5750 & 443 lb-ft of torque at 1,600-4,750. This is a version of the engine in the current CLS550. Availability is late 1st quarter/Spring 2012. The ML63 will have a 5.5L twin-turbo direct injection V8.

^ Thank you. I am looking to replace my Jeep SRT8. Since SRT wants $65k for the new model I am looking at all alternatives for AWD performance.
So far the 2012 CLS 550 4matic is on the top of the list, I think I will drive the ML 550 before pulling the trigger.
