Parking Brake Adjustment

Hi Guys,

My 2011 C250's Parking Brake seems not having enough power to hold the car uphill, anybody knows how to adjust the parking brake?

Thanks in advance!

Tomas

There should be a hex nut under the carpet where you sit that should allow you to remove the floor panel and use your feet ala flintstone.

Im sorry this is one thing I don't know how to do.

Are you still under warranty? If so, let the dealer sort it out.

Yes, I am still under warranty, I just thought it might be something simple and might save me a 300KM trip to the dealer. (Yes, that is the distance to the closest MB dealer to me).

A hugely devoted MB owner!

Just wondering, what car brands are sold closer to home that you turned down to drive that far?

Acctually, I live in a small town, and the only german car dealer in town is VW, and I got two VWs already, so that is why I had to drive 300 KMs to a get a MB.

Are you sure that with the W204 that you don't adjust the parking brake by lifting the rear seat bench and accessing the parking brake adjuster like I did on my W203 Coupe ??

Thanks

Dont touch the centre adjuster, adjust at the wheels, its very easy, all you need is a flashlight and a flat head screwdriver.

Remove Wheel
Use your light to fint the adjuster sprocket
Tighten the sprocket hard with the screwdriver until you canīt move the rotor
Loosen sprocket about half a turn
Turn the rotor to check if it turns freely

Finished!
