Had the Comand updated today from MB, noticed the air from the AC is not freezing anymore. Anyone experienced this? Just a setting adjustment or something serious? Thanks.

Oh btw, I still cannot see the Birds Eye view of the map after the Comand update. So is that a different update then?

 

Apparently more members on this forum have had the issue as well.

Think you need to find the birds eye view-setting in your comand nav setings menu and enable ..

Yes...I found it in the Map Display option in Navi. Great, thanks guys. But the top 1cm of the birds eye view is just grayscale (no map??) like its pixelated, but with any other map setting gets the whole map on the whole screen. Bizzare.

With the AC issue, booked back in to MB Next week, keep you posted.

 

Since your car is an 07, it has electric clutch instead of a magnetic one. After 08 they installed denso magnetic clutches. The newer update is programed with this detail.
You need to use DAS and go to the air conditioning section, go to compressor and switch over to electric clutch. It will then communicate with command and everything will work. takes about 5 min to do. good luck.

FIXED......the AAC control unit in the STAR Air Conditioning menu needed recoding. Got the aircon fully recharged as only approx 30% gas in before. Now 100%, the AC blows out freezing cold air.

 

Hi Sir,

I retrofit my car W212 2012 to 2014 change the SAM unit. Air con is not cold now. Same issue I think mine is using electric clutch and the new 2014 is using magnetic clutch.

Try DAS and no function to switch electric clutch ! Any advice ?
