Man, what I would do to get a set of the old OEM Monoblocks off the 36/43 AMG. Love those wheels. Easiest clean up of all time.

The Monoblocks in 17s or the 18s fit with a small H&R 3mm spacer (I know this because I have C32/55 calipers on my old C43, and those spacers were required to make them fit).

Thanks Saaboteur. Tempting, but I fear spacers. I've read horror stories.

Much appreciated, and yeah they look great but I always knew I eventually had to move on to a "real" set of wheels. Here's a picture of either my set (which would mean they painted them the wrong color, I'll find out when they arrive) or someone else's, but the wheels should end up looking like this:

I can assure you there is nothing to fear if you have the right bolts. I've heard of one horror story, and its because the person bought spacers and used stock bolts.

I daily my car in the summer too, and have been thinking of Forgestar F14s for a 'sortaflush' fitment - just want the wheels with a bit more of an aggressive offset, but not crazily so. Any suggestions on that for an 18x8.5, 9.5 width? I'd probably stick with stock tire size up front, and a faintly wider 255/35 for the rear.
If you want a really good 18x8.5 18x9.5 setup you can have mine

But in all seriousness, here's some general knowledge:

225/40 on an 8.5 is great. Not "stretched" but not bulging. Really nice fitment. Offset for an 8.5 up front you will want to shoot for high/mid 20's if you want to go conservative, but I will tell you this, I am at 20 and have ZERO problems up front. No rubbing, scraping, anything, with stock fenders and my H&R's as low as they go.

Rears, I'm moving back to a 245/35 from a 255/35 just to rub less. I'm at 18x9.5 et 26, I would for the conservative move do an et of 30 maybe, and you should be all good, even with a 255/35. If you stick do 245 you can be a little more aggressive with no worries (just grind down those tabs).

Shoot me a PM if you have more questions!

Yeah spacers are 100% safe if the bolts are right. You should pick up some monoblocks would look great!

Thanks for the info, I may PM you to discuss further! I'm hoping to order the Forgestars this winter. But now I may need some suspension too, but I think I'll just go with springs. Thing is, our roads are crap and I don't want to go too low. Maybe I'll just see how the car sits with more aggressive (but still fairly conservative) offset before deciding on suspension.

Re: spacers - I don't run longer wheel bolts for the 3mm spacers I have on the C43 but I would for just about anything else. Oh, except for the custom 1mm spacers I have on my S2000 for justa bit more caliper to spoke clearance for my Stoptechs and RPF1s, did not use longer studs for that.

From what I'm told, 3mm and under you are ok with OEM length bolts, and yeah feel free to PM me whenever. As for suspension, I highly recommend coils. Even if you aren't trying to go too low, having control over where your car sits is nice. A lot of times you get unwanted rake/anti-rake with springs. In the long run you won't regret it. Plus H&R's are very well priced.

Are you at stock alignment specs? Camber arms at the rear? Camber kit up front?

No camber changes other than throwing the coilovers on. Camber is at whatever it became when I lowered the car

Before I was used to it, BAD. Front bumper has a couple cracks, and is in pretty rough shape. Hopefully gonna be replacing it soon here if the money is there after these wheels are all done. Now that I'm used to driving at this height, I almost never scrape my bumper.

On that note, company emailed today saying they "realized" (aka I told them on facebook) that they had painted my wheels the wrong color so they are getting the shipment back from UPS and repainting them to the correct color now. Granted he said it should only take 2 days since I'm finally getting priority (they've had these wheels since February..)

So small speed bump, but things are moving along. Tires came in yesterday and are sitting in my room

if any of you guys are local/within driving distance of Detroit, the LM reps will be off the car by the latest Friday. Dibs will go to people who can pick up, and I can drive a bit to meet.

Very nice, have to admit was kind of skeptical of how they would look on a w203, but looks amazing, thats even an understatement!
