Hello,
sorry for this big text!
I have a question, With my mercedes a35 (w177 / 2019 model) the engile light suddenly appeared a week ago. when the logo appeared I immediately called the garage where I bought it and 1 of the cylinders needs to be replaced, but to be sure they also called someone from Mercedes themselves, ... and said that its a good idea to bring the car to them, so they can do a good diagnose,… does anyone have any idea what else could be the issue? and how long it can take? because do you need a car by Christmas.

well, i brought first my car at the garage where i bought it, and now its at a mercedes garage they are doing a diagnose at the moment becuase i got a notification on my phone,… i hope its not a big issue so i can get it back quick,.. missing that sound of the car 😭🥰

Hopefully it will be quick as you mentioned, was the CEL flashing or was it static, flashing is usually serous but static is not the end of the world. Many things can trigger a static CEL such as emission parts that fail or just reporting confusing data that the ECU couldn't understand such as sensor data from O2 sensors, or a loose gas cap for example, flashing is a different story. Hopefully it was the former.
