Good folks, does anyone know how to perform a spark plug renewal on the A35 AMG vehicle.

Sorry no but I'd also love to know about the A45s sparkplug renewal. Guessing should be the same.

I'm also a member of a promiment UK A Class forum and there is so little information around for enthusiasts who like to service and maintain their cars at places other than the main dealer. It looks like most people just take them into Mercedes and get fleeced for loads of money, when it could easily be avoided. You get no better service from the main dealer, than you would at a good garage that you know and trust.

A45s
My understanding the AMG's use the same motor, just the A45s and A35 are turned around 180 deg from the older A45. Maybe someone can confirm this? Wikipedia says M139 in the A45s and A45 is based on the M260 in the A35. So all should use same fitting spark plug but may have different ratings?

I'm going to call the local merc dealer when I'm home from hols to find out spark plugs for each and will repost.

There is a vid on YouTube on someone replacing A45 spark plugs, shouldn't be too dissimilar to an A35 or A45s, just that there are probably different routes for pipes and wires in the way.

A45s
I tried a few places and all have said no one can supply A45s spark plugs. Mercedes spare parts quoted $47 each. My service centre quoted $250 to replace the lot so I'm just going to go ahead with them as I'll only save $60 if I do it myself.

RE A35: According to supercheapauto.com.au the double iridium Bosch Spark Plug - V6SII3328 fits A35 for $29.99 each. I am assuming they would be the same thread pitch but different specifications to the A45s.

Can't find any instructions or vids of people changing them themselves sorry.

Easy: NGK SILZKFR8D7S. These were put in mine 26,000kms ago. Can see them online for $19 each in Australia.

EDIT: Sorry, just saw A45S. The above NGK do the A45 W176.
