Denied warranty

My passenger door handle just ripped out randomly. When I took the car to the dealer for repair, they claimed there was a job done previously due to an accident most likely and refused service. (I bought the car used). I'm not even sure whether that's true or not but even if it's true, wouldn't the plastic that would've been damaged repaired when it was first broken at the repair shop?. I've owned the vehicle for at least a year and there has been no issue with the car and now they claim they won't honor it because it's damaged and not from manufacturer's defect. Is this plausible for you guys?

Also, what's the likelihood that i can just glue this back together? (The sensors seem to work fine)

Thats weird, plus tell the dealership you'd like proof of the accident, there's no "most likely's" allowed when it comes to warranty denial, they either have proof or not.
