2025 AMG GT43 approach angle and ground clearance

I had a chance to measure the ground clearance and approach angle of a GT43 with 19” wheels and the standard suspension. The first thing that I noticed is that the car rides higher than the V8 GT55 and GT63.

The GT43 does not have the Active Aerodynamics Profile (AAP) like the V8 models. So, the ground clearance under the front bumper is about 5” compared to 4” on the GT55 I measured. This makes the approach angle about 11 degrees compared to about 9 degrees on the GT55.

Somewhere I read that the Active Ride Control suspension option lowers the car by 10mm compared to the standard suspension. I did not measure the ground clearance between the axles but I would estimate that to be 5” too.

Fender gap with standard GT43 suspension and 19” wheels.

5” ground clearance about 24” ahead of tire foot print. About 6” clearance at leading edge of bumper.

Thanks for measuring, always been curious.
