Anyone gone from a previous Gen GTR/GTC/GTS to a new AMG GT55/63? thoughts? I feel the new AMG GT is amazing, but more GT than track day car
Drove ours recently... like it and unless Im at the track (which I do a good bit) I think the new one is better for daily but older for track days... I do see occasionaly AMG GTS/R's at the track (VIR/Summit point/Dominion)... but I assume they are mostly daily cars

The AMG GTR is a much better track car compared to the newish AMG GT63. My experience is the the AMG GTs are primarily with the AMG Driving Academy/Experience in the Pro and Pro Plus classes at Road Atlanta & COTA. Been doing the AMG Academy/Experience for years even going back to AMG Challenge so many years ago. Frankly I love my three C8 Corvette Z06s to track vs the GTs but I am hoping that the NEW AMG GT Pro coming out in 2025 is a bit better track car than the newish GTs but I love my C8 Z06s for tracking.

Someone shared this video that should answer your question:
the new gt63 pro is still slower on the track then amg gtr let alone the gtr pro if track time is a consideration for you

Wow even with the AWD added its still slower? GTR is a beast of a car, would've got one over the gt63 if it wasn't so hard to source or available locally for me. I guess sit makes sense considering they made the new gen gts more daily safe drivable. GTR feels more special, and I'm sure would hurt every time you put a km on it lol.Originally Posted by untamedd
