AMGt GT 55 Coupe - Pick up, front undercarriage clearance

Picked up my AMG GT 55 yesterday. It was amazing to see in person in the Selenite grey colour.

Truly enjoying it so far and adjusting to dimensions. Love it. Coming from a 2024 C63 SE.

Had a question for other owners - how do all of you manage with the front under lip clearance and protection? I have a fairly flat driveway and when I reversed out yesterday I felt a light touch. This concerns me for any sort of sudden change in incline in the future ( speed bumps, ramps, condo parking ramps etc). Does the 45 degree angle entry and exit ( even with reversing) seem to do the trick?

Have any of you done any sort of protection for this? The car I purchased did not have front axel lift system.

Thanks in advance.

Wow, congrats! Beautiful spec, I have a selenite coming down the road. Looks so good on it. Regarding the front splitter rub- Google SlipLo. It's a protective strip that you attach on the underside of the front splitter. If you look on YouTube you there are instructions on proper adhesion etc. It's really discreet imo. Approach angles at a 45 degree angle, go up/down pitches one wheel at a time. The sliplo will keep the rub off the splitter though.

How is it driving? I know there is the break-in period so you have to keep the RPMs <4000.

Awesome. I did exactly that actually and purchased Slipolo gaurd. It arrived yesterday so I plan to install it today. Just some peace of mind.

Driving beautifully so far. Though is meant to be far sportier than any previous car Ive had, I love how its also able to be so smooth and comfortable in day to day use. The duality of personality is amazing. Also, absolutely loving the interior quality upgrade and the utility of that large sportback like trunk.

Definitely still in the break in period and eagerly awaiting some more spirited driving.

Hope to see some pics of your car when it arrives. Congrats on the purchase!

Beautiful car and color choice! I am really attempting to get a GT55 Coupe and trade in my Cayenne Turbo since my G63 is coming. How's the driving experience like? Do you have to get the AMG active ride suspension for it to be a more comfortable ride? Thanks!

You will love the car if you end up going in that direction. I love it compared to my old car. Though this is supposed to be more of a sports car, it rides way more comfortably. Being able to be relatively soft in comfort setting and then sporty when you turn it up is great.
The active ride suspension and dampers along with hydrualic roll stabilization is standard on the 55 and 63. So not an additional option.

All the best.

Installed the SlipLo yesterday. Fairely simply install and undetectable unless you bend down to the ground and look under. Great peace of mind knowing its there now.
