I do want to like this car but the more I see it the less I am inclined to sell my 2019 GTC. Not trying to bash it but the price is 2X what I paid and when I see things like this "carbon" trim option, which I have on my GTC, I am scratching my head in disbelief:
On the 1st gen cars, the (expensive) extended carbon trim gave you a full carbon side sill. Now it's just a tiny strip at the end of a still plastic gloss black trim piece. What??
While I am happy with my gt63, I agree with this general comment and it's been a pet peeve of mine. I hate and can't believe my steering wheel air bag cover is plastic, that the sun visors are plastic. For $200k there should be nothing but the finest materials, especially those that you see every time you're in the car.
I agree. I hate the same things on my 2019 GTC, but was half the price.
I get that inflation has been high since 2019 and I basically stole the GTC, price wise, and the new has “more” including AWD, rear seats, etc; but I was looking at one on the lot yesterday and with tax it’s $350,000!
