AMG GTS rear gear box leak
we had a AMG GTS come into the garage and not something we usually see here, has anyone got any information on a leak coming from the rear of the gear box?
The leak is coming from the whole in the pictures above? What would be the next point of call for this customer now?

Rear Gear Box Leak
I am currently going through this issue with my AMG GTS. It is usually one of two things,
1. The Radial seals have perished or mis-aligned allowing the bearings to move and allow oil to seep from the housing, more noticeable under driving conditions.
2. The speed sensor can get filings in it causing it to leak from the bearing.
MB will not open up the gear box and repair any internal components, they will only replace the whole box at a cost of £14'800. This video will give you an idea of the issues.
Cheers.

It was only in America, I have been through this with MB customer services in Germany as a UK consumer. The only option they gave me was to replace the gear box for around £15000. The gear box warranty was extended to 8 years, but all 2015 cars are past this now.
Your only option is to get a specialist to strip down, diagnose and repair the issue, or replace the gear box. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I have spent the last 8 weeks of my life dealing with this issue and these are the options in front of me.
Cheers.
