Rear main seal oil leak?
Hi Merc Family,
I have a 2016 AMG GTS with 16K miles on it and have not driven it in a few months.
Pulled it out of the garage today so I can take it for a spin this upcoming Labor Day weekend and found this small oil leak on the garage floor.
Was praying this is not the dreaded transmission weep hole leak seal failure issue. From some reading in this forum and online, it appears this may be the beginning of a rear main seal leak.
Comparing my leak to others, it appears mine is minimal.
Looking for advice on whether or not to wait until it progresses before repairing, where to repair, and approximate repair costs.
I am in the The Woodlands/Spring, Texas area, so your recommendations are welcome.
