Who repaired it: Indy dealership fixed it while fixing a upper pan oil gasket under warranty. It was a while they were in there type of thing.
I am the second owner. However, I have spoken to the original owner. He said that he babied the car.
I do not drive it easy. Immediately started modding it after purchase to the mods in my signature.

They fixed it and replaced the oil separators. Got clunking noise driving it back from the dealer. Took it back for loose exhaust and low coolant. 1 month later it was leaking again. The dealer replaced it again. 6 weeks later it is back in the shop for a CEL (running really rough, low power). Pretty bummed out right now. Thinking of a Avant but the $$$ are pretty high for a new one.
Talking to the uber driver on my way home from dropping it off and told him I love the car, it's my first Mercedes and my last.

I installed intakes and a meth injection system
March 2025 I am at 84,000 miles and rear main seal is bone dry, no other leaks whatsoever.
I daily drive it 75 miles back and forth to work and drive it like I stole it.
I change the oil every 5000 miles religiously since I work at the dealership.
I highly recommend against using the Eco feature which has cylinder deactivation. I feel like that does more harm than good to the motor.
I also am not seeing many 2018s coming in to my dealer with this issue, mostly 2019+.
I am the Assistant Service Manager and keep an eye on most AMG issues coming through my department.

Currently in shop getting RMS done , my mechanic dropped Transmutation and doing it without dropping engine .
also changed oil separators and water thermostat…
he recommended to install oil catch can, is this something anyone has done?

how much did it cost you?
how do you drive the car?
no report of any m177 that I've seen that's installed this AS A RESULT of having ovs and rms issue; nonetheless, catch cans have been often discussed here / read all the rms threads in the sticky:
