GTS AMG
I'm back with AMG, traded the Ferrari in...

Just took delivery last night of an Edition 1 Selenite Gray GTS.

I think I got a fairly good deal. I also think the GTS is a little faster than the Ferrari F 430. The dealer gave me a pretty good trade in offer on the Ferrari.

I drove about 150 miles last night. It's very hard to stay out of the power. I do want to break it in properly. How many of you guys have followed the prescribed break in procedure? If not, what are you recommending?

It feels good to, once again, have a warranty and that new car smell.

I will miss the Ferrari through.

Here's a few pics

LOL 9 AMG's later and its the same for me: proper ring seating with engine rpms up and down the spectrum and not too long in one range. Lets just say Ive already tuned my car and dyno'd it many times with before and after runs. The car is broken in from the factory and some will say follow the manual and others will follow my style of "hard break in". Your call. Oh man this car flies, especially with a tune and over 140 mph.

Race mode is your friend here since you can control the rpms up and down but S+ is more driveable especially in traffic.

Nice trade & congrats!

I'm going to be trading in my 991 S for an AMG GTS soon but plan on keeping my F-458.

Thanks for the info guys. It is a great car and fun to drive. I'm not sure if I will do the tune.

Vic, how much HP do you think you've gained from just a tune? I know you've do a few things beyond a tune.

Good luck with your trade in and I think you will be happy with the GTS.

I wish I had a 458 to keep around. Great car!

My thread on the tune is in this forum-- I actually did a before and after dyno so the gains are relevant circa 115 hp and 130 tq in the sweet spot rpm ranges.

Not sure what you are saying in regards to "a few things beyond a tune" though. I have done zero engine mods outside of the tune.
