Any Interest to Pursue a 'Group Buy' for a Tune?
Thought to raise this proposal in a dedicated thread. If you are committed to a 601hp-type tune (ECU upgrade only) for your GT/S and willing to participate in a group purchase in June/July, please 'thumbs up'.
Naturally, opinions on which tune is best and experiences with vendors are as varied as their published MSRP/discounts. I'd be happy to approach RennTech, Eurocharged and Dime, etc. to solicit a volume purchase and support quote. Goal is best overall product and value (price, refreshes, etc). Vendors may not want their offer to be public so unless they tell me to **** off, I'll share results privately if requested.
Happy to do a little marketing legwork for a 'Father's Day Special'! Vendors should feel free to PM me as well.

Guys, so far I've reached out to EC, Velos, Dime and RENNtech. Pondering Weistec. Waiting on all responses.

Results! Here's what I've found:
For what is a fairly generic 'mail order' tune, some vendors pursue mass market, others (kudo's) prefer individual service and relationships. One in particular is happy to exploit margins from Mercedes dealership referrals and simply "doesn't care to be competitive". Right. Feel free to PM me for personal opinions...
However, in honor of the spirit of this thread, the winner of most aggressive pricing with a quality tune-only 'group buy' offer is Eurocharged. Thank you, Tiff. The offer is a commitment to unlimited free remaps (plus shipping) in the event of MB reflashes and a price of $1100 @ 15 units and $1300 @10 units for anyone who follows through, presumably in June/July. Potentially a 56% discount from MSRP.
If you go/went this route because of this thread, please here so we can keep count of our numbers to insure the discount is being applied correctly.
On a personal note, I most enjoyed my communication with the smaller boutique shops who value personal service and wish to cultivate long term relationships. I wish they were closer.

All - to clarify the 'free remap'. Reflashes from stock tune to performance tune for dealer services are free, just costs shipping. But reflashes for new modifications are $35. Seems more than reasonable.
Also, so we can get this rolling without having to wait for the full complement of 15+ buyers, EC is offering to let everyone prepay $1,100 plus return shipping of their ECU. There are a few options for shipping.
1. Customer can include shipping label in the box
2. Customer can prepay for shipping with us.
3. We can call customer to get payment for shipping when ECU is done being tuned.
Also to have this form printed, completed, and sent in with the ECU. You may put that you're apart of the group buy on top of the forum as well.

Also, for every customer. Tiff will need just some basic information from you and will then contact you.
First and last name.
Billing address.
Email.
Phone number.
OK, please pass the word! And FYI, this is purely a public service volunteerism effort on my part since I needed to do some research anyway. I own no equity in EC!

Eurocharged is KING with tuning the AMG platform. They worked wonders with mine and I bet these new GT/GTS will really take well with Adam, Andy and Jerrys work.
