I think this thread said GTR's - don't you have a GTS? For someone who took forever to come up with alleged pics of their car. Where did you all of a sudden find the time to make juvenile comments on topics that don't pertain to you?

Alleged pics of my car? Give me a break . I have a real job, real commitment and real responsibilities . I work from 6:30am to 12MN many days of the week. I don’t run around snapping pics of my car for my amusement. I save lives for a living. What noble cause do you uphold?

You didn't answer my question. So here it is again. Where did you all of a sudden find the time to make juvenile comments on topics that don't pertain to you? When you are so busy saving lives as you say.

Quick, go out and check your GTR. It’s value may be tanking like the DOW after 2k miles in one month .

Not the kind of answer I'd expect from an MD (provided you actually are one) and a Senior Member of this board. Answering "inane" posts as you say, seems very counterproductive to a man of your professed stature. Yes?

I was merely rebutting your asinine comment. Perhaps, if you'd have kept sipping that latte and kept your foolish mouth shut. You wouldn't be in this predicament.

Just with the service department of Fletcher Jones in Newport Beach, SO CAL. They charge $450. Don't know about independent shops. Of course with a large dealership you get a loaner. Don't know if any independent shops do.

Luckily I have a fantastic independent race shop near by that I’ll be letting do most of the routine servicing on the GTR, unless it’s a service to preserve warranty so that means I’ll have the diff oil changed at the dealership.

DCT transmission oil service for an AMG GT is only required every 4 years or at 40,000 miles per the service booklet extract above. It is different arrangement than a Corvette, which has a differential with a separate fluid that looks very bad even after the first 1000 miles, like a silver soup, and is trivial to change. Procedure to change the fluid on the GT's DCT is fairly involved per the service manual, and rather justifies the high price, along with the high cost and the large quantity of fluids. There are separate coolers (heat exchangers) on a GT for the diff and the DCT.

I wonder what could be different between a GTS and a GTR in terms of the differential in terms of service? 4 year, 40,000 miles for first fluid (differential but not transmission) change on a GT or GT-S versus 1875 miles on a GT-R/GT-C. Power is only 10% higher on a GT-C versus a GT-S, which is not much.
