Buying a 16 GTS, questions...
Hello all. I currently have a 2015 S63 sedan and Ive really been thinking of buying a CPO GTS for a few months now. I found a 2016 with MSRP of $159k pretty loaded and only 6k miles and carbon ceramic brakes.
Whats killing me is the silver interior trim and no carbon fiber inside. It has CF exterior package as well as CF cross bar and CF door sills but no CF INTERIOR! I love the CF interior as well as the piano black trim.
Would it look nice if I were to use high gloss black wrap on the inside as well as matte CF interior trim or would t look horrible?
About to pull the trigger but the bright chromish interior and non CF is making me hold back.
Your opinions please! Thanks.

I have to say I'm not as into the cosmetics of it all as it really doesn't change the performance.
I bought mine Jan 2 but I'm not sure what color the trim is. ( I went back and looked at some pictures and it's black lacquer)
But you are the guy who'll be looking at it. Makes for an expensive change later.
although there are folks that will take you trim and cover ti so it looks CF.

I'm so over CF trim. It was hot in the early 2000s and even though I have it in my GTR, it does absolutely nothing for me. I am more impressed at the nice exterior trim pieces that add much more to the car than CF around your air vents and cup holder. My brother just bought an E63s and requested it be loaded to the tilt and NO CF. He opted for the black wood grain which I think looks sooooo much better. Don't worry about interior CF. If you must have it, you can do it later with a wrap or change out pieces.

I added the CF on my interior spec since I like the look better than the other options. If you like it, there are enough GT variants out there in the aftermarket that you should wait for a spec that you like.
Who cares what other people like. At this price point, buy what you love. Life's too short ...

Thanks
Wow, thanks for all the replies. This really helps. For the ones who were able to add the CF trim later, how was it done and how much did it cost? Thanks again.

1. You could remove pieces and vendors from private to ebay may have pieces OR you may purchase factory parts, pay an arm and leg
2. Purchase 3M Carbon paper Vinyl wrap an remove pieces and wrap with carbon
3. There are also people who replicated the parts using real Carbon Fiber sheets at home and making real Carbon Fiber pieces
There are different methods.

I always thought that if I was going to pay over six figures for a car I wanted it to have exactly the features on it that I wanted. That's how I've rolled for 25 years, ever since the cars I started buying cost over 6 figures.
