Urgent M271 ESP/ME ECU Faults and Limp Mode after Engine Replacemnt
02 C200K - Engine **** itself after timing chain skipped .... sourced an Engine and replaced fairly drama free... drove for a week or so and experienced 2 stalls with ESP notification in IP... let sit and restarted.
Took to an indy where they checked and cleared codes after that ESP issue and limp mode is occurring constantly...
Engine was a non-start with fan running continuously (researched failsafe) and scan tool wouldn't recognise ME ECU... disconnected battery, checked ECU connections, engine restarted ....
next day problem re-occurred
...replaced vehicle battery ...still no joy
When I have been able to connect to ME ECU (sporadically after battery reconnect) have got this code P203B-2 and ECU internal failure relating to P0606
This seems strange as nothing really has changed and the ECU was only removed refitted with airbox during engine replacement - so really don't see why this would have **** itself also???....
Any assistance guidance would be greatly received - ps. I have read most of the associated threads to no avail.
