MP3 Options for 2002 SL500?

MP3 Options for 2002 SL500?
My 2002 SL500 CD changer doesn't recognize MP3 CD-Rs, and the dealer says there is no firmware upgrade to correct this. Are there any after-market options to support MP3 CD-Rs?

i had to upgrade my head unit to make it connect to my dell dj 20 (mp3 player) and read mp3's off cd. I dont think mp3's were very mainstream 3 years ago so it maybe difficult to upgrade your changer.
if you have a stock head unit you can elect to buy a pioneer 7700 and swap out yours for it. they play mp3's and have an optional cable kit that will allow you to add a mp3 player. if you have control i dont have any ideas on the options available to you.
