ipod update

the local parts dept at my dealership claims that the ML ipod kit is about to come in. they also said the other ipod kits are about to be released, but they are all on backorder. i know, rumours from the dealership are never good or completely solid, but was just curious what anyone else might have heard. i mean, it is nearly April.

Hi there, in the recent MBCA magazine, I read an article about Mercedes-Benz being the first car manufacturer to have a fully integrated I-Pod kit, which this signed a deal with Apple to do that, and to have it you must have Command in your car, and the upcoming ML will be the first car to have it. thanks for the courteous reply. but yes, i think most of us are aware of that. if you go to MBUSA's website you can see all the info there.

my question was more in regards to when the kit will be available considering it states it will be ready in April. just checking to see if anyone has sourced a kit yet or if they have any information that overrides that.

Dealer told me supposed to be late april, but he said to be realistic, expect sometime this summer, i.e. june/ july. Hope it is sooner though, ready to operate the ipod thru the steering wheel
