2 12" subs.. too much?
Hey,
Currently I have a 12" MTX sub (Thunder 4550) installed on my car.. Pushed by a MBQuart 350w 2ch amplifier..
I'm starting to get tired with the bass, and want to install a dual 12" subwoofer.. Now, my concern is, the old amplifier would no long be adequate right? If so, what kind of power do I need?

Is the amp 350 rms or max? I have had some pretty loud systems with only 300 rms watts. Just get a 2 dvc 4 ohm sub, wire it in parallel to 2 ohm and you get max power from the amp. Right now I have 2 Jl w3v2 with only 500 rms going to them, and it is very loud and it hurts my ears if i turn it up hard.

it all depends on what your definition of loud is... I have 2 10" HE2 rockford fosgates in my supra getting about 550RMS a piece those are loud, lol... and 2 JLw6 V2s in my friedns camaro... my eyes rattled... that much bass is too much for me. if you get a nice set of speakers that can keep up with the bass you wont be able to tell that there is a such thing as too much bass... in my ML I dont have enough with one 12"W6v2 at 500 watts...

you could always put your amplifer up on ebay and upgrade that also, I do it constantly,

Damn Denim your car looks nice 
! How come you never come out to any of the benz meets? My little bro also goes to UMDCP, he has a black 300E with 18" black wheels w/higly polished lip and 20% tint all the way around, maybe you've seen him there. Would you be interested in coming to the next meet?
