reprogram comand cause of software problem?

Unhappy reprogram comand cause of software problem?
Guys,

Anyone know how you can reprograme a Comand 2.0 unit? Basically my unit is stuck on 'Activating Navigation' - MB have tried replacing the LASER and other parts but theyve now come back and said that its a software problem - thats fine but they have handed it back saying it cant be fixed. I thought I might as well see if anybody knows how to reprogram one of these babies - ive got nothing to lose as ive got a useless comand unit anyway

Anyone got any ideas here?

...where did you get the comand? take it back to the suplier as you haven't got that comand that long at all...
