Options For a Newer Phone???
Hello, i posted this in the W203 section and havent got any replys, so could someone help me out over here, i thought this section might be better suited to answer my question...?
My 2001 C200 Kompressor has the phone cradle installed from factory. Its old and ugly and supports the Nokia 6310i (i think, i dont have the phone!). I want to know if i can simply swap out the cradle for a newer version to suit a newer Nokia phone?
Regardless of where i mount it, i just want to know if it can be done.
THe 'STANDARD FACTORY ISSUED' cradle number is as follows:
A 203 820 04 51
there are other numbers there if anyone need further reference.

I could offer you a UHI kit and conversion into the armrest. That would at least give you a choice of about 20 phones. I prefer Nokia and that would entail selecting from
7250i , 6610i, 6100i, 6230, 6230i. IMHO they are good phones.
I hear that 6310i / 6210 can be bought (new) on eBay and that should just plug in without doing anything. Moving the phone to the armrest and getting navigation would be a really nice solution.

Or you could install a bluetooth device like Moto, Nokia, or Parrot in your car. You can change phones as long as it has bluetooth. If you want factory look and features, I guess Mikbox is your answer.
