Second headunit install in a 2002 ML

After doing tons of research and having a headache trying to find a way to get my ipod connected to my car the only thing i have found was to get rid of my cd changer and use the ice-link.... well i deceded i would rather install a second headunit that i could use to play dvds and mp3 dcs and connect my ipod to...
my car has the bose cass/am/fm with rear mounted cd changer.
where should I connect the speakers to? has anyone done this? i can wire it all up but im not sure where to splice into the speaker wires?

thoughts? ideas?

I always consider that a second head unit is a headphone.

The ML should be able to use a VW harness (Usually have to switch constant and ignition) allowing you to wire directly into the entire systme including speakers.

I just reread your question. Are you trying to use the factory deck AND a second aftermarket deck? If so my response above will not help you. It can be done, but is not so straightforward.
