Minor issue w IPOD in C55
Unit works great with only 1 fault so far. I have noticed that sometimes when I start the car a msg comes up in the display (in IPOD and NAV Mode) saying "Please Wait" half the time after a few seconds it disapears and you have full function. The other half of the time it just hangs and you don't get conrol of the IPOD or get NAV display in the instrument pod. I discovered that when starting the car if you turn the key to the first position and wait a few seconds until everything powers up, the "Please Wait" disappears and full function is restored. Continue the ignition sequence and away you go. Just slow down your start sequence a little and you should be fine

Haven’t had that problem with my 2005 C320, turns right on every time. But I am having a problem with the phone buttons not working. 
Do your phone buttons work to select menu items? ( do you have the phone option?) Also does your ipod turn off after you turn your car off? 
Mine stays on and it kind of bugs me. 
Probably why mine turns on so fast it is never off, just paused and charging. When it is done charging it just sits their with the battery icon saying "charged".

Mine stays on after I turn off the car but only for about 5 min then powers down. HHmmmmm??

My telephone buttons do not work either. The instructions for the US model kit say the dealer needs to turn the telephone function on in the main computer to control the iPod menu. I have not checked if the unit turns off yet. joe

I did notice that it was when my i-pod was in full shutdown rather than sleep (you know when you don’t use your i-pod for a while and you go to turn it on and it takes a while and shows the little apple). I just now make sure that my i-pod is not in full shutdown mode before I turn my car on. Which is only necessary if your i-pod has been off for a while. I was also able to get my phone buttons fixed by having my dealer re-enable the phone menu
