The comand manual is in the rightside doorpocket...it is there to be used.

thanks Steve,
I will get to use it tomorrow for the first time. I quickly looked at the manual to find the Miles option and the option to have the arrow pointing up during navigation as you told me. . . . .but did not see either --- I will look again
