Where factory CD changer located?

I'm thinking about purchasing CD changer from autotoys.com. It's claimed as fiber optic and exactly the same as a dealer installed but costs slightly cheaper as $400. Can somebody point me on exact CD changer location in trunk of E class? I need to make sure that I have all wires in place.

Unhappy SLK32 CD Changer Location?

In addition, if anyone knows the location that a CD-changer would go in this little car, it would be helpful. I've located the fibre connections, but the location is still a mystery and I know this can't be rocket science. MB wants $300 to install a unit to a car that is pre-wired. Rediculous price for an install job!

for C- class changer is in glove compartment. For most otherb post 2000 MB's the changer is in a cleft at the right side of the trunk above the battery.

I'm thinking about visiting a dealer and inspect cars in lot with factory installed changer. BTW Where did you find fiber optics connector in a trunk?

E Class CD changer is in a cleft on the LEFT side of the trunk. Not the right as previously posted.

guys,

I bought my cd changer from autotoys.com. Dont get their install harness. I recommend simply buying the unit and taking it to a MB dealer. My dealer charged me 200.00 for one hr install in the trunk, w/ matching cd carpet cover. Looks great.
