1999 E55 DMP1 Rockford Fosgate?

Hi, I have a 1999 E55 (non-comand, only stock factory radio with tape player). It does seem to have a cd-changer and phone outputs though.

Does anyone have info on whether you can hook up a Rockford Fosgate DMP1 (20GB MP3-hard drive unit) to the above?

Since Amazon has them for $130, it would be really great to have 4000 songs in the car if possible, trying to avoid the FM modulation / cassette adapter route.

Have searched quite a bit here & other forums, but not seen a definitive answer.

Thanks in advance,
Aaron

I added the DMP1 to my car as well. I did the aux in mod on the Audio30 head unit, then I connected the DMP1 to the new aux in/tape mode. I put the DMP1 controller in the storage space under the Audio30, and put the hard drive under the passenger seat. I put the wifi antenna on the front windshield. People keep asking me if it's a secondary head unit...no, just my 20 gb mp3 collection. I need a bigger hard drive...sigh

What kind of stock head unit do you have? If you have the Audio30, adding aux input is really easy.
