CD Player Problem
The problem:
The Mercedes Benz, cd player, cannot read copied audio CDs.
When we insert original audio CDs, there is no problem.
What is going on?
Is that a Mercedes Benz, security to copied CDs or something else?
TIA
Nick

Some factors to consider are blank media. Many inexpensive disc's do not burn as well as others. My personal recomendation is Fuji blank discs. The next problem can be the alignment of the burner optics. As with the media, the cheaper the recorder, the more likely the deviation from standard. My choice for burners are Sony, Plextor, or Yamaha in no particular order.
I also suggest that the recorder firmware be updated with the latest from the manufacturer's website. The stuff on the disc in the box is often flawed, and the firmware writer uses field feedback to make adjustments.
Windows media player is suitable for Uncle Freddy, Aunt Mavis, and the kids in elementry school, but Nero is a better choice. One caution...use the burner software supplied with the specific burner hardware. Some burner software is 'trimmed' for specific burners, and should be downloaded to get the latest version for that hardware.
Making copies of music you own is fair, and you pay a license fee when you buy blank media. It is included in the price.
Making copies of music you don't own is like sneaking into a concert without a ticket.
