2001 CLK 430
![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Hi guys,
I just bought a 2001 CLK 430 with an intergrated MB Timeport cell phone.
I have a Sonyericsson s710a cell phone from Cingular.
I checked the forum and e-mailed MikBox.com.
He said:
I guess I can forget the Sonyericsson for a while. lol
So my question is:
What carrier can I use for the installed MB Timeport for now?

Nothing yet on the SE. I am going forward with the Bluetooth, though.
Since the SE protocol is strictly GSM oriented, I expect it to be very
similar to the BT HFP protocol, though. The real reason why I put the SE
phones on hold for so long is that I don't really know how the
electrical interface works. If I had documentation on that it would be
very easy.

There are Mercedes Timeports for all the big carriers: Verizon (CDMA), Sprint (CDMA), and AT&T/Cingular (TDMA). Which carrier your phone works with depends on the phone.

..............I think the problem is that most of the carriers are no longer activating the timeport phones. If you already have service with a carrier, then your service is left active until the end of your contract.
