Sirius Problem

I bought and installed an aftermarket Sirius module in my 2000 s500. Everything went fine with one exception. I cannot receive a clear signal because of interference from the radio station Sirius is set on. The radio will only skip to the station with a frequency in other words I can only use seek not tune. Any suggestions?

Sometimes the Sirius receiver has several frequencies it can broadcast on that do not interfere with area broadcasters. You can try the other frequencies to see if they work better.

If the receive in the car has an AFC (automatic frequency control) button, try turning it off to tune the Sirius receiver, then back on to lock the signal.

How is the radio frequency output of the Sirius receiver connected to the radio? Does it plug into the antenna jack of the radio, or do you lay a wire near the car antenna? Changing the position of the wire near the car antenna might help.

If you have a line in jack on the radio, or a cassette deck you don't use, a good shop can modify the radio to use the cassette electronics as a line input for the Sirius receiver, if it has a line out jack.

..........your aftermarket Fm modulator is probably hardwired to your head unit. this is the prefered set up because the sound quality is excellent. The solution to your problem is to turn off the sirius unit whenever you want to listento am/fm or weatherband.

Just turn off the sirius unit and you should be able to tune your radio properly
