installation of Ipod kit part no: - B67824202
Guys,
i have just picked up my kit for the E Class merc, having been quoted 3hrs labour at £90 plus VAT to fit two leads i am going to have it fitted by someone else!!!
i know that this involves the removal of comand etc but having seen it done for the car kit i am not happy to pay these extortionate rates!
can anyone provide me with the instructions and more importantly does the comand unit need a software upgrade?? if so that might be a challenge!
i hope you can all help.
thanks in advance
Kerry

Moviela has been kind enough to do a very nice write up on the installation

The ipod information is only visible on the in dash display, not the command.
If your phone is disabled (i.e. when you cycle through the menues on the in dash display phone doies not appear), the you will need to get it enabled in order to use the phone buttons to access the ipod menus.
