Bluetooth Updated information
As there are many threads on bluetooth going on, I wanted to clarify a few things. There are 4 different bluetooth units released for the USA. They are
1. Bluetooth Puck
2. Timeport/Startac Unit
3. CP HIGH 2003-2004 E class Unit
4. UHI/MHI Cradle
I am not sure as of now how each works but here is what I do know.
1. The puck is ONLY for v60 equipped cars that have the d2b system. The puck requires the latest PSE installed as per the paper I read. The puck fits into the v60 cradle itself.
2. THe Timeport/Startac unit is a box that fits in the armrest with a RJ cord that plugs into the socket. IT also requires the latest PSE installed as per paper. The cradle is eliminated here.
3. The CP HIGH unit looks similar to the timeport/startac unit but resolves the issues with the 2003-2004 w211 E class cars
4. The UHI/MHI cradle for all other MOST based cars from 2005 and later. IT requires a MHI/UHI PSE in place and a center console cradle clip installed. The Bluetooth cradle will fit in the same place as the current UHI and MHI cradles.
5. Maybach and SLR will use the puck as they have a d2b v60 system installed.

Hmm. So I have a Scorchie-installed MBenzNL-provided European UHI PSE and cradle (for a Sony-Ericsson T637) in my D2B 2003 SL. I was hoping that at some point I'll be able to replace the T637 UHI cradle with the BT cradle and have a choice of compatible BT phones.
If I'm reading you correctly, I'm sol because I have neither the old v60 PSE nor the newer MOST-based UHI PSE? Perhaps at least I can get a European UHI BT cradle?

Toonarmy, I have a feeling the US Bluetooth Cradle should work in your car as well. If not, a Euro bluetooth option will be out as well which can work in your car.
Any idea on cost?
I have a 2002 C32 with V60 that I converted to MIK Box. Any idea on the V60 Puck cost and how difficult would it be to reverse my settup back to original to accept the Puck (I kept all of my old equipment)?
