Today I finish installing the Mikbox in my 2001 E-430.
I am having very bad humming noise coming during phone calls.
I check all the wiring and all looks good.
I never had this kind of humming noise in my other W210 that have MB phone.
I am using V551 GSM Cingular phone with Mikbox.
I belive it is ground loop problem. I need to go and get ground loop isolator from Radio Shack ($15) to solve all my humming problems.
I don't know where to put ground loop isolator. Is any one know where should I put ground loop isolator to get rid of this humming noise.
Does any one else notice the same problem??
Please help
I have also sent an e-mail to Mik. He should be able to give me answer on humming noise. It is really bad noise. It is not worth to spend all this $$ and get poor sound quality with humming noises.

I just installed the Mikbox in my 2002 E55 for my Motorola E815 from Verizon and it works quite well, and no humming. Didn't someone else mentioned he had the same issue with the GSM phone? My car should have the same electronic setup as your, I have the PSE for Timeport, and it didn't require ground loop isolator. You should try a CDMA phone from Verizon or Sprint to see if the humming goes away. Good luck.

Seems to be a problem with GSM phones. Check this thread from last month for more detail.

The humming sound is gone. I did ground the mounting bracket of PSE/Comp/VCM to separate ground in trunk.
Only time I hear very little humming when the phone signal level below 5%. Once the signal level above 5% I don’t hear any more humming.
I knew that it was a grounding issue.
Thanks Mik for your support.
