Saving AUX audio settings on Comand?

I use the AUX on my Comand all the time for listening to my iPod, but it annoys me that every time I start the car, I have to re-adjust the audio settings for bass and treble (though the fader setting is saved) because they go back to "0" by default. I'm not sure if this is normal, but only my cd and AM/FM audio settings are saved at whatever levels I set them, while AUX audio settings for bass and treble are reset to "0" every time I turn off the car. Anone else have this problem or am I alone here?

Same on our SL. AUX primary sound settings can't be saved. Just the sound options.
My fix was easy and works better than the simply treble/bass adjustments; I ran thorugh all the iPod equalizer (EQ) settings to see which sounded best in the car. A bit more hassle, but easily better sounding.

Blake, I just tried on mine and the settings stay. I changed them and then shut the car off and removed the key and let it sit for a couple of minutes and then restarted and checked the settings and all is the same. Do you have a US or Euro COMAND? I have Euro, so maybe something with that.

I have a US Comand. You're sure that you changed the AUX sound settings, not the regular sound settings for CD and AM/FM radio? I know those settings stay saved in my car.

Yep, sure did. I had my satellite radio on and I changed them twice. SYS to AUX to SOUND. Stayed for me just fine.

Dang, must be an added perk to having the Euro Comand. Have you had any problems playing DVD through your Comand screen using the A/V adapter?

No problems at all, it works perfectly. Are you having issues with yours?

I noticed that it's been skipping alot lately, but doesn't seem to be caused by bumpy surfaces or anything related to the DVD player. It has happened with burned DVD's only, so I'm going to test it today with authentic DVD's to see if that makes a difference.

I can confirm that the Euro Comand DOES save AUX input audio settings, yet the U.S. Comand DOES NOT.

On the C class US COMAND, the aux settings are saved.

XM Commander

I just got XM direct wired thru the AUX. Bass/Treble, etc RESETS EVERY TIME CAR IS SHUT DOWN. Slightly more than annoying.

Is there anything that can be done? If not, can anyone at least give me justification for this quirk. Ze Chermans always have a good reason for everything associated w/the M-B's I wonder what the reason for the reset is.

It really does not make any sense. Since the euro unit is capable of saving these settings, I am sure there is some way to get this to work at the firmware level/BIOS of the unit, but I have no idea how to access that. I don't even think that StarDiag would have that option to set.
