Passport ZR3 + V1 or Passport SR7 Plus
I currently have a V1 stealth mount + remote display + remote remote. I want to get a laser shifter with my radar detector. Would you guys buy the Passport ZR3 laser shifter and keep the V1 OR just buy a Passport SR7 Plus (which includes 2 units = radar + laser shifter)? I would buy the Passport SRX, but Al&Ed's doesn't carry it. FYI, Al&Ed's has 50% off everything on Sat. Nov 26 for newsletter subscribers. Good time to save $$$ on car audio etc. I was thinking of buying the SR7 Plus for $550 after 50% discount (retail $1600).

SR7 plus is definately a good choice... I have the zr-3 shifter which is part of that system and it has not failed once. Everytime a statey is sittin on the side of the highway and pointing the laser gun at my car it messes up the signal and they look all confused. And i also had the 8500 x50 w/it and it worked very well.

The escort concealed system is excellent. You just need to set it up so the shifters are turned on. I think the model number I have is SR-X. Its range against radar is not quite as good as the V1, but the laser shifting is a real plus.

i ended up getting the sr7 plus shifters which is basically sr7 + zr3 in one package. the only thing i don't like about it is the lack of rear radar sensor, but i think the front radar sensor will pick up signals from the rear also. The Passport SRX is sold exclusively through high-performance new car dealers, or you can get it on ebay.
