2000 CLK 430

Alpine Navigation and Metallized Tint

Will metallized tint (majority of all tint jobs) affect the signal of an ALPINE navi system and its ability to process your current location. I drive a 2000 clk 430 and I have an aftermarket alpine unit and I am planning on including the alpine navi system...

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)

The usual location for the GPS antenna is under the dash pad, so unless you plan to tint the windshield, I cannot see a problem.

Nor sure about the nav, however I have heard stories that it does affect cell phone reception. Why not go for a ceramic product like Huper?

CLK55 Cabrio

I have the Alpine IVA -D301 with Alpine NAV and XM system in my present vehicle and it works fine with tinted windows. I havce both my nav and XM flat antennaes mounted in the center of my rear deck (barely noticable even while looking for them). I cant wait to get them in my CLK55
