Radio QUIT.......

Last night I was sitting in my car (CL600) listing to the radio, all of
a sudden it just quit working. I tried all the buttons and everything
worked except no sound! I drove home and shut the car off, waited a few
minutes and started the car, the radio came on full blast!!
Do I have a poltergeist in my car?? I have had a few other things
happen like this, start the car and the ABC is in-op, then I restart the car
and it works fine.

Is that a Bose system? If it is, then check the amp power relay. This relay cycles everytime you start the car.

Yes it is Bose. The radio works fine now, it quit while it was playing and started working after the car was restarted. It (the relay) would check out OK if the radio is working, right?

Yes, if it is working, the relay would check out ok. There are a lot of current going thru the relay contacts since all the Bose amps are feed by this relay. If it happens again, try a new relay.

I have the same issues on my 2004 S500. No radio. Full blast radio. I even had a "windows" type screen open up in the Comand center, saying "Sound Unavailable". I'm really glad that happened, because I needed confirnation that I wasn't hearing anything. The only good news is that I'm having fewer electronic problems than I had on my 2000 S430.

By the way, restarting the car seems to be the required "fault reset" to fix the malady.
