Subwoofer Install
Hello there. I am the proud new owner of a 2001 e55 AMG. I would like to install a to my stock head unit (not the command system). I was told be a couple of installers that the wiring is fiber-optic so I can't just add a sub-woofer. Is this true? Any suggestions?

I don't think this is accurate, I have a 99 E55 and we put an Amp and subwoofer, my installer put a signal to RCA converter on the rear speakers.
Take it to an installer you can trust and have them do it , or do it your self, let me know if I can help you should you decide to do it your self. it is really easy.
